Responsibilities:

  • Identifying what goods, services, or works are needed by the company
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the specifications and expectations of the company.
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Reviewing, comparing, and analyzing products and services to be purchased.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best deal.
  • Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
  • Preparing and managing purchase orders in accordance with the company’s needs and budget.
  • Monitoring and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts/PO.
  • Reviewing and managing the company’s procurement strategy.
  • Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to company policy.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier database.
  • Assessing, managing, and mitigating risks in procurement process.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field. Any professional certifications in procurement are added advantage.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a procurement officer.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
  • Talent in negotiations and networking.
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
